We took our first camping trip of the summer this week. We spent two nights at Trillium Lake "roughing it". It was our first time out with the trailer, but it was sure nice to have as it rained for the first day or so basically non-stop.
Our campsite was right on the lake which made for plenty of time in the kayaks on the lake.
It was Hannah's first time in a kayak and she caught on pretty well. Chase had a blast yelling, "Faster Daddy!!! Like a rocket ship!!!"
It was Xan's first time in a kayak as well. She was a bit unsure at first but settled in pretty quickly and didn't want to come back in.
The kids loved their new bunk beds and slept great. Hannah said it was the comfiest she'd ever slept.
We had a little company both days with a bald eagle in the tree right above our campsite.
Taking a break from the rain under the canopy.
Nice warm breakfast in their jammies.
Mommy and Hannah playing Uno waiting for the rain to stop.
The weather finally cleared on the second day so we could enjoy a proper campfire.
